On a long and lonesome highway, east of Omaha...


I have driven throughout a lot of states, but usually in a rental car. One spot you drove that caught my eye was your trek from Nebraska to Kansas. I did make the drive from Grand Island Nebraska down to the Red Cloud area. I was on the road for hours and did not see anyone else - in fact, there was an hour plus stretch (not a main highway) where I only saw one building, which was a farm shed. It was remarkably remote.
